Re: Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury
Does the politics have anything to do with Hearn trying to make as much money as possible?

Surely that has got something to do with it?

I am happy however to take back that I said AJ himself is avoiding fights, I really meant the AJ team and Hearn than AJ himself.

Only person that has ducked anyone is Wilder swerving dillian WHYTE

Yes I appreciate there is politics involved, especially with different governing bodies, but if AJ really wanted to fight Wilder then why doesn't he?

Because of the politics, as I've said before mate.

You don't get to carry around 3 of the 4 major belts by avoiding fights. Especially not the IBF belt.

It's pretty easy being an American and holding the WBC belt to pick and choose your fights though.

For the record, I don't actually think that AJ is worried about Wilder or Fury. I expect he's just trusting his team to select the fights for him.

Re: Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury
Of course AJ is going to say that he will fight either of them, he's hardly going to say anything else.

Yes I appreciate there is politics involved, especially with different governing bodies, but if AJ really wanted to fight Wilder then why doesn't he?

He's made for life already the money he has made and even 50/50 with Wilder he'll get another huge pay day.

I know some will say that he's just being clever, picking the fights to forge a career and maximise his earning potential. I guess that's the problem for me - like everything else it's just about the money.

AJ annoys me a little as he seems to be avoiding the big fights that everyone wants.

How can people still come out with this bollocks...

hearn snr on the radio this morning said it's all about money, if joshua gets the bigger cut he'll fight anyone. what that cut is, is a mystery. hearn sounded like fagin off oliver twist, im surprised he never started singing "you've got to pick a pocket or two" at the end of the interview

Re: Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury
Scott, he hasn't avoided anybody. He's frequently said he'd fight both.

It's the bullshit politics that gets in the way.

For those that have not seen this video of Fury in his corner asking his young trainer if he is boxing well, almost child like vulnerability about him staring and hanging onto every word

that;s assuming Whyte beats Chisora which after their first fight is not a foregone conclusion

He should be fighting Wilder or Fury in April but if he fights Dylan White then I've got no interest what-so-ever.

Credit to Fury and Wilder for making their fight happen, they don't seem as intimidated by the big fights as AJ seems to be.

Any idea as to when SKY might show a re-run of the fight without charging extra?

They won’t mate as it was BT sport.

Joshua ain’t got the movement or boxing abilities of fury.
If Wilder catches him he’ll beat him.
Fury is technically superior to both of them, just hasn’t got that explosive power, the other two have.
Joshua has been caught a few times and should have been taken out by klitschko, the same fella who couldn’t lay a glove on fury.
Gonna be an interesting few fights over the next year or so if Joshua’s team decide to take up the challenges.

Re: Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury
His action is just laughable, plus the majority of Wilders fights have been against people a lot shorter than him, both Fury and AJ are of similar size so he cannot dominate like he has done.

AJ within 4 for me.

Re: Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury
yes, he is. mind you he only started when he was 20. I think AJ would spark him fairly quickly.

Re: Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury
If Wilder can catch AJ like Povetkin did in the early rounds I could see him putting him down. I don't think AJ could afford to start that slow and be as sloppy with Wilder.
